The Tenth National Congress of the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party) was held on March 29, 1969, Chinese Youth Day, in memory of the sacrifice of the revolutionary martyrs. In the Congress matters concerning party reform, political innovation, and recovery of the mainland were closely reviewed and studied in order to formulate a concrete program for a successful counter-of fensive against the communists and the eventual national revival. It was hoped that the efforts of compatriots both at home and abroad would be dedicated to the same goal. In celebration of this significant occasion, a commemorative postage stamp was issued on the opening date of the Congress. The stamp takes the emblem of the Kuomintang and a front view of the Chungshan Building on Mt.Yangmin as the central design.
