The 70th Anniversary of the Kuomintang was on November 24, 1964. To mark the founding of the Kuomintang and then the Republic of China by our national father Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and to urge our fellow countrymen to fulfill the mission of national recovery and reconstruction, a set of commemorative postage stamps was issued with Dr. Sun's portrait as the central design.
