The 20th Youth Day was on March 29, 1963 which was also the commemoration day of Martyrs of revolutionary movements against Manchus. To celebrate this memorial occasion, a set of 〝20th Youth Day〞 Commemorative Postage Stamps was issued. The central subject of the design shows a young man and a young woman facing a brilliantly lighted torch against a background of the Martyr's Monument at Huang Hua Kang(a suburb of Canton). It symbolizes modern youth, following the example of the Martyr's spirit of sacrifice, working for the reconstruction of our country and fulfilling the mission for our age.
