Lions International, whose broad scope of interests is dedicated to the purpose of serving the community, is one of the most active and well-known service club organizations in the world with a membership of over 600,000. As the 45th Anniversary of Lions International was in 1962, a set of commemorative postage stamps was issued in honor of the occasion. The stamps consist of 0.80 and 3.60 denominations, using the Lion emblem as their central design. On the same day, the souvenir sheet (100 × 75 mm.) consisting of 0.80 and 3.60 stamps was also issued.
