The characters 〝限滇省貼用〞(restricted for use in Yunnan) were overprinted in black in a horizontal line on the upper part of the stamps by the Printing Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, Peking.　　The $5 stamps were printed on thin paper; the 3￠ stamps partly on thick and partly on thin paper; and those of other denominations on thick paper.　　In addition to twenty denominations listed above, another denomination of brown color in 6￠ was also overprinted but not issued.　　The bank notes issued by the Fu Tien Bank in Yunnan (雲南富滇銀行) enjoyed fairly good credit up to 1926, when, because of inflation, their value fell to a level of $10 Yunnan currency equal to one silver dollar. In 1929 silver dollars were minted and used in Yunnan, each weighing 36 candarins with a silver content of 50% In 1932 the New Fu Tien Bank (富滇新銀行) came into being and issued new bank notes with an exchange ratio against the National Dollar of 2 to 1, as authorized by the Ministry of Finance.
