Following the release of Fruits Postage Stamps (Continued) on January 28, 2016, the Post is issuing another follow-up set of four stamps, featuring Tomato, Guava, Persimmon and Pineapple. The designs follow:1. Tomato (NT$7): The fruit comes in many shapes and colors. It is smallish in size, with a thin shell and a high sugar content. 2. Guava (NT$17): The outer skin is light green, with thick, textured pulp, which is predominantly white. The taste is refreshing and sweet, with a very low calorie count. 3. Persimmon (NT$25): Taiwan grown persimmon is dominated by Fuyu, Jiro, and Huayusuo cultivars. The ripe fruit appears red-orange to dark red in color, covered in thick hoar. The flesh is mushy and delicate in texture. 4. Pineapple (NT$34): The fruit comes in many cultivars. Among which, Golden Diamond Tainong 17 is Taiwan pineapple production’s staple variety. Pineapple is cylindrical with a thin shell and a shallow eye (bud). Its flesh ranges from pale yellow to deep yellow, and the taste is exquisite.
