　　After the introduction of the Gold Yuan notes as the new currency on August 20, 1948, arrangements were made by the Postal Administration for the printing of Gold Yuan stamps.　　Dr. Sun's portrait is the central design quite similar to various plates used by the same company previously. However, the new design is rather simple, having no side frame nor any foliated decorations.
