Due to serious currency depreciation in mid 1948, daily business was usually transacted in $10,000 notes. As the stamps issued in the 2nd Dah Tung Print with $500,000 as the highest denomination were inadequate to meet requirements, a large quantity of stamps in higher values was issued in the same design as the previous prints. Such stamps were not bi-colored and the decimal points were all deleted. The whole set consists of 12 denominations valued from $20,000 to $5,000,000. Six denominations ($20,000, $30,000, $40,000, $50,000, $1,000,000 and $2,000,000) were issued on July 23, 1948, while the other six denominations were issued on September 11, 1948.
