Dr. Sun Yat-sen stamps printed by the Dah Tung Book Co., Hongkong in intaglio are nearly the same as those printed by the Chung Hwa Book Co. in design, color, and paper. There are minor differences between various denominations as shown in the following photographs and notes：(1) 5￠ -8￠ denominations 1. The Chung Hwa Print consists of 2￠, 3￠, 5￠ and 8￠ denominations, while the Dah Tung Print consists of 5￠ and 8￠ denominations only (shade of color shows slight difference). 2. In the stamps of the Chung Hwa Print, the bottom stroke of the character〝伍〞 touches the vertical stroke of the part 〝人 〞on the left side of that character (P-32). The button is unshaded in the center. In the 5￠ stamps of the Dah Tung Print, the bottom stroke of the character 〝伍〞does not touch the vertical stroke of the part 〝人 〞on the left side (P-33 ). The character〝大〞appears in the center of the button. In all stamps printed by the Dah Tung Book Co., the button in Dr. Sun’s coat is a full circle, but in stamps under the value of 10￠ the button has a character in its center (some of the 8￠ stamps do not have this character in the center of the button). Such stamps are commonly known as 〝Solid Button(實鈕)〞.Stamps of 10 cents and over do not have the character〝大〞in the button and are commonly known as 〝Empty Button(空鈕)〞.　3. In the 8￠ stamps printed by the Chung Hwa Book Co., the first and second strokes of the part〝口〞 in the character〝捌〞do not touch each other. The part〝力〞of the same character does not link with the part 〝才〞on its left side. The inner stroke of the part 〝刀〞of the same character is rather thin and long (P-34). In the 8￠ stamps printed by the Dah Tung Book Co., the part〝口〞 is closed on all sides. The part 〝力〞touches the part 〝才〞, and the inner stroke of the part 〝刀〞is thick and short (P-35).(2) 10￠-50￠ denominations 1. In the stamps of the Chung Hwa Print, the central vertical stroke in the character 〝角〞is short and does not go through the lower horizontal stroke (P-36).　2. In the stamps of the Dah Thung Print, the central vertical stroke in the character〝角〞is longer, passing through the lower horizontal stroke (P-37).(3) Dollar denominations 1. In the stamps printed by the Chung Hwa Book Co., the vertical (right) stroke of the part 〝貝〞 in the character 〝圓〞 is closely linked with the dot below (P-38).　2. In the stamps printed by the Dah Tung Book Co., the vertical (right) sroke of the part 〝貝〞in the character 〝圓〞 is not linked with the dot below (P-39)　　The stamps separately printed on watermarked paper bearing the Chinese Seal character 〝郵〞 (P-31) are the same as those printed on unwatermarked paper in design, color, plate, and perforation. The whole set consists of nine denominations, one less than the unwatermarked set.
