The Chinese Postal Service (CPS) was officially launched on March 20, 1896. This year 2026 marks its 130th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Chunghwa Post has released a souvenir sheet, containing four stamps with NT$15 denominations.
This souvenir sheet is designed to look like the front page of a newspaper in an illustrated style. Two stamps depict traditional post: the historic architecture of the Taipei Post Office, the old pillar box, and the mobile post van servicing remote places in Yuli. In contrast, two stamps depict contemporary post including items such as the self-service iBox, the Postal EZ Box and the Future Mails, as well as the multi-functional POST APP integrating postal services, banking, insurance, philately, and e-commerce. The inscriptions also feature the Postal Logistics Park, showing how post has evolved with the important milestones of increased electronic business and logistics. Overall, the design shows the multi-functional services of post and how, whilst prudently maintaining the successes of the past, Chunghwa Post continues to be creative, moving forward towards a sustainable future.
