Due to recent changes in U.S. customs and tariff policies, U.S. Customs has tightened inspections on inbound mail. As a result, some international airmail letter-post items sent to the United States and Hawaii have recently been returned without a clear explanation.
To protect customers' interests and ensure successful delivery, effective immediately, Chunghwa Post will temporarily adjust mailing services for the U.S. and Hawaii as follows:
1. Mail to the United States
• Please use EZPost to make your shipping label .
• Only mail items of Non-commercial bona fide gifts valued at 100 USD or less, Books, Document are available.
2. Mail to Hawaii
• All airmail letter-post items to Hawaii are temporarily suspended.
• If you need to send documents to Hawaii, please use EMS (Document type). Please use EZPost to make your shipping label, and please select “Documents” as the category of item .
3. For letter-post items sent between October 1 and October 16, 2025 to the U.S. or Hawaii that are returned as a result of this incident, Chunghwa Post will refund the full postage to the sender.
Refunds will apply to both mail not yet dispatched and mail returned after export.
