NCHU 100th Anniversary Commemorative Issue

National Chung Hsing University 100th Anniversary Commemorative Issue

National Chung Hsing University 100th Anniversary Commemorative Issue
National Chung Hsing University was established in 1919 as the first institute of agronomy in Taiwan, where it has been an important cradle for the formation of agronomists and a database for agricultural and forestry policies. The past hundred years of hands-on commitment have led to its alumni being spread throughout the world, contributing in an outstanding way to production, management and scholarship. To commemorate the auspicious occasion of the University's centenary, Chunghwa Post is planning a set of two stamps. A detailed description of the stamps follows:
1. NT$8 stamp: An important symbol of the University is its main entrance on Xingda Rd., Taichung City, built in a style which combines Germanic pillars with a Chinese ceremonial arch.
2. NT$28 stamp: The Small Auditorium is the only surviving building on campus from an earlier era. It has served as a lecture hall for meetings, speeches and cultural events and is now used for student exhibitions and performances, a keypoint alumni fondly remember.

This set of stamps was designed by KN Creative Design Co., Ltd. and printed in color offset by Cardon Enterprise Co., Ltd. By-issues including a first-day cover, folders with and without crystal mounts, and a loose-leaf album page will be released along with the stamps and will go on sale on October 7, 2019. A pre-cancelled FDC with one NT$8-denominated stamp or with a full set of stamps will go on sale on October 9, 2019, the stamps' date of issuance.

To purchase the relative philatelic products, please go directly to the post office branches, Postal Museum or order on line at https://stamp.post.gov.tw.

Cachet:
A commemorative cachet will be available at Postal Museum and post office branches throughout the country on the issuing date of the stamps.
