Being the largest national scenic area in Taiwan, the East Coast National Scenic Area stretches along the Hualien-Taitung Coast beginning in the north at the estuary of the Hualien River and ending in the south at Hsiaoyehieu near Taitung.The area is blessed with precious scenic and natural resources, providing the public with a variety of spacious recreational centers.
The stamps feature four scenic spots of the area-Chichi Bay, Shihyuesan, Hsiaoyehlieu, and Changhong Bridge.
